This is the information you will need for your domain registration record, often referred to as your
"NIC record". This nickname
comes from the fact that all domain registrations used to be governed by one party called the
internic (all lower case for
Internet reasons). So hence, they were referred to as "'nic" for short.

At some point the government allowed other agencies besides the internic to start selling domain names. The biggest of all those
who now sell domain names is Network Solutions. Some people think this is what became of internic.org, but don't be fooled.
If anything we can provide for you here, we would like to inform you that as long as a registrar is ICANN certified, you should have
no worries registering your domain name with them. Network Solutions charges $35 per year. Most all registrars require at least a 2
year payment. So back to the FREE tip that will save you money. The best registrar on the Internet today we feel is directNIC.
Their fees are $15 per year. All changes made to your NIC record are done online and updated immediately. If you've ever played with
NetSol's email game, you'll know how much better it is to simply update an online form.
